Pike County Health Department

The Pike County Health Department is a non-profit, public service agency governed by the Pike County Board of Health. They provide preventive health services including medical, nursing, nutrition, social education and environmental interventions designed to assist individuals and communities in obtaining and maintaining an optimal level of wellness. Most services are provided for a nominal fee. No person is turned away for their inability to pay.

Mountain Comprehensive Care Center’s mission is to improve the overall health and well being of the underserved and homeless population of Eastern Kentucky by ensuring access to quality comprehensive health care. Their vision is to eliminate health care disparities by providing access to services including direct primary care, prevention, advocacy, and education.

Westcare Foundation

The mission of Westcare is to empower everyone to engage in a process of healing, growth, and change benefiting themselves, their families, co-workers, and communities. They do this through our efforts toward “Uplifting the Human Spirit” by consistently improving and strengthening everything in building for the future. From outpatient and residential programs treating substance use and mental health disorders, to shelters providing services to victims of HIV/AIDS, domestic violence and homelessness, to programs within the criminal justice system, to programs interfacing with and/or incorporating primary care services, WestCare’s four decades of growth has been predicated on meeting the need or filling the gap where real people need real help.

UK Ovarian Cancer Screening Program (Friday)

THIS PROGRAM SAVES LIVES! The UK Markey Cancer Center Ovarian Cancer Screening Program provides free annual sonographic screenings to women across Kentucky with the goal of detecting cancer early. When it’s caught early, ovarian cancer is a treatable and curable disease.
